For our World Around Us topic we are continuing with ‘Journey of a letter.’ P3 & P4 pupils have written thank you letters to Santa🎅. We composed a cover letter and placed all our letters into a large envelope addressed to the North Pole. We then walked to the post office, passing some familiar buildings on our way.
At the post office kiosk our letters were weighed and some pupils worked out what coins to use to pay for the postage. Of course we couldn’t leave the Spar Shop without purchasing some sweets for the journey back to school 😀.
In school, Postman Oliver visited our classroom and was asked some questions about the journey of a letter and his job.
