Our recent Shared Education sessions focused on learning about School in the past in the ‘Pass.’ A huge thank you to Mr Frank Watters and Mrs Barbara Best, who kindly gave of their time to be ‘Hot Seated’ in the Primary 4 classroom at Poyntzpass P.S. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to their school day stories and memories. We could identify some significant differences to school days today and also realised some things haven’t changed much either 😊.
We then took a stroll to the site of the Old National School. Thank you to Mr Paul Convery, who allowed us access to his garden so we could see the features of this old building. The pupils had some time to sketch the building and also listened to Barbara about the exciting plans for this historical site.
